You Can Stay Another Six Months

February 4, 2019
So, this week has been super cold, cold to the point of not going out for a day and a half. Tuesday it got down to - 50 so I'd say that was kinda cold.

Monday was a typical pday for us. Did emailing, shopping, haircuts, and waiting for 6:00 to come around so we could do something.
At 6 we went out and did some service for people, we shoveled out all our usual people we hit every time it snows or blows. When we got to one older couples house they let us in after we got done clearing the driveway which led to us being there the rest of the night pretty well. It was good though, we talked about the cold, and got told some crazy stories about their life together and all that fun stuff! Before we left they even put together some food for us as "payment" since we won't take their money.

Tuesday was spent all day inside. We had nothing to do all day cause we have a small area book and not very many try backs in our tracting book even with all the door knocking we do. So, we spent the day telling story's about home and things like that.

Wednesday, we had Winkler elders down for exchanges with us but they forgot to plug their car in that morning so they were a little late getting here.
We started the day off with the soup kitchen and - 45 weather so we weren't too sure this would be an amazing exchange, but by the time we got done with the soup kitchen it was - 39 so turns out we could do some work.
By the time we did comp study and their personal study, and set district goals it was time for dinner so we did that.
After dinner me and elder Stephens went out for an hr or so and did some tracting. Got yelled at on a couple doors but as usual I just kinda laughed and went on to the next one. We did find a potential so that was nice!

Thursday, we had district council in the morning with Winkler at the church. We talked about the book of Mormon and the role it plays in conversion. About half way through DC I got a text from sis Hitchcock saying they'd be a little late for interviews coming back from Brandon, so once we got done DC we ran home and had a quick lunch before they got there.
Interviews took a good long while, we didn't finish up till about 3.15. Pres Hitchcock the first thing he said to me was well your extension is approved! You can stay another 6 months! I just laughed and he laughed to and then said it's gonna be hard to find another one like you. The rest of the interview we talked about home, marriage, plans for when I get home, home I'm holding up and if me and Keston love serving together. Mine was the shortest interview surprisingly.
After interviews we got Winkler on the road home cause they wanted to be home before we took k's for the month. Once they left we went and did some service over at the prior center moving old dishwashers around and what not. I had to cut a few hoses off one to make it moveable and the one when I did it flicked some water up into my face...it was clean water so I just kept cutting but it was kinda nasty.

Friday, we did the usual weekly planning which didn't take too long this week cause we didn't get a chance to meet with anyone, so that kinda made for a long day of finding. In all honesty I don't remember what we all did for finding and who we found but I know we did it, and I know it was cold.

Saturday was another day kinda like Friday so nothing to exciting to talk about. Was a decently nice day though, - 27 I think.

Sunday was cold and blowing again but it was good anyway. Church was kinda small today attendance wise but we made due with what we had.
After church we had the usual lunch at bro judges with the Jensen's so that was nice!
Did some companion study, some freezing outside and finished the I night off (after 9pm) with the movie trek. yes, trek was approved by pres. Hitchcock.
It was an interesting one but funny.

Well that was our week!
Love yak all talk to you next week!
19 days left according to some people.
